The Porepunkah Panthers Baseball Club is celebrating a major win, securing funding through the Australian Government’s Growing Regions Program Round 2.
The grant of $502,093 will enable the Club to deliver a multi-use clubhouse, providing a valuable new facility for the team and the wider community.
Alpine Shire Mayor, Cr Sarah Nicholas, congratulated the Club on their achievement.
“This is an fantastic outcome for the Porepunkah Panthers and a testament to their hard work and dedication," she said.
"There is significant work involved in demonstrating that a project is 'shovel ready' and has met all the requirements needed to secure an Australian Government funding commitment of this magnitude'.
"Securing one of only eight Victorian grants in such a competitive process is no small feat."
